Write upsell and cross-sell copy for a WooCommerce cart page

A scenario prompt for writing cart-page upsell and cross-sell copy for a $58 cart that nudges toward free shipping honestly, and only recommends items that actually match what's already in the cart.

A customer's WooCommerce cart currently contains:

CART: [1x iPhone 15 case, matte black, $24] and [1x MagSafe wallet attachment, $19],
total $43
FREE SHIPPING THRESHOLD: [$50]
CANDIDATE UPSELLS: [tempered glass screen protector for iPhone 15, $15], [same case in
a second color, $24], [charging cable, universal, $12]
RECOMMENDATION LOGIC AVAILABLE: [screen protector and second case color are confirmed
compatible with iPhone 15 specifically; charging cable is universal fit]

Write the cart page upsell block:

1. One line calling out the free shipping gap: this customer is $7 short of free
shipping, so the recommended add-on should close that gap, not just be "you might
   also like."
2. Recommend the screen protector first, since it's compatible with the exact phone
already in the cart and gets them $2 past the free shipping line, a stronger match
than the universal cable which is generic and could apply to any customer regardless
of what's already in their cart.
3. Write one short line of copy for the recommendation, framed around the free shipping
unlock plus the actual reason to buy it (protects the phone the case doesn't cover),
   not just "complete the look."
4. Add a fallback line for the second case color, positioned as a lower-priority
alternate, not a second competing headline offer, since showing two equally weighted
upsells splits attention and converts worse than one clear recommendation.

Judgment call to apply: never recommend an accessory whose fit isn't confirmed
compatible with the item already in the cart just because it's cheap or in stock. A
wrong-fit upsell that gets returned costs more in shipping and support than the upsell
margin it earned.

Replace the bracketed cart contents, threshold, and candidates with your own.

Anchoring the upsell to the free shipping gap turns a generic “customers also bought” widget into a specific, honest reason to add one more item, which is why it converts better than a static cross-sell block that never changes based on cart total.
